3–Year-Old Preschool

The 3-year-old class introduces the children to the joy of learning and the routines of a classroom. We will concentrate on studying the fundamentals of colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet, logic, music, and art. Our many hands-on activities includes, socialization skills learned by interacting with their peers, role-playing, singing, reading, listening, graphing, sorting, counting, painting, drawing, exploring patterns, completing puzzles, and much more. We have ‘theme related’ units of study that cover various topics such as nutrition, transportation, animals, insects and weather to name a few.

4-Year-Old Preschool

The 4-year-old class builds upon the previous year’s knowledge adding the lower case letters of the alphabet, extensive number skills, sorting, addition, subtraction, writing, pre-reading, and reading activities. We concentrate on reading skills and group the children accordingly to their individual abilities. We increase attention span and independent work. We develop a better understanding with science concepts through teacher directed experiments. In addition to the basic core curriculum, we will teach an introduction to a variety of fields in weekly ‘themed units’ such as astronomy, anatomy, money and art to name just a few. This creative and fun curriculum concentrates on kindergarten readiness.

Five Day a Week   4-Year-Old Preschool

This unique five day preschool program is designed around the core themes of our three day 4 year old program.  In addition to the core curriculum, we will be focusing on deeper learning and developing a continuous growth at a faster pace.  This class enables children to really settle into the routine, the social structure, and the daily lessons so that they are learning and retaining as much as possible.  It’s all about the consistency.  Children who attend 5 day programs typically learn much faster than their 3 day counterparts.  We concentrate on reading skills and group the children accordingly to their individual abilities. 3rd Year/Kindergarten

Students typically enter third year/Kindergarten reading basic books and by the end of the school year, many students are easily reading at a first or second grade level. Students are taught both decoding and comprehension strategies in preparation for success as lifelong readers. High frequency use-words and spelling patterns are identified during word studies. In addition, new courses in our Spanish language program will be taught daily. Math will be a composite of addition, subtraction, measurement, estimation, place value, rounding, money, and more. Science, music appreciation, and Handwriting Without Tears workbooks will be taught weekly.
